Chronicle Newspaper Article 14th July 2022
Many thanks to Bob Ogley, who is a popular speaker and an author of over 20 books. A former editor of The Sevenoaks Chronicle, Bob was a journalist for more than 30 years before he left his newspaper to concentrate on writing books and giving talks. He recently published a lovely article about Malcolm’s memorial stone dedication in a local newspaper and kindly gave me permission to publish the article here.
Battle of Britain Historical Society Newsletter (issue 166, Autumn/Winter 2022)
I have been a member of the Battle of Britain Historical Society for quite a few years and recommend anyone wishing to support the memory of those involved in the Battle of Britain to join or donate to the society. The support and donations made by the society towards Malcolm’s memorial (and other memorials) wil never be forgotten. I have had the pleasure of speaking with John Pulfer (BEM, JP) who is the Managing Director of the society quite a few times, but it was so nice to actually meet him and his lovely wife Margaret on the day of the memorial. I recently received the latest edition of “Scramble 1940” (the offical newsletter of the society) and to my great surprise three pages are dedicated to Malcolm’s memorial, with my speech published in full. Thank you to everyone at the society.
